I just surfed through the newest deviations... and then I saw THIS.
It is a magnificent piece of artwork because the high amount of contrasts work like eye-catchers. The tree separates the picture in two (nearly symmetrical) parts. Human beings tend to like symmetry: so do I and that is why I clicked on the thumbnail.
The rays of the sun behind the tree are somehow mysterious - the whole forest seems to be surreal. The cold colors create a distance, but at the same time this distance is impressive. As the observer, you seek new details - and you find them. The twigs on the tree make the scene interesting and thrilling. Eyes are crossing the picture, looking for the end of the forest: but you can only see trees. Starting with one tree in the foreground, and four trees in the middleground, trees are multiplying and endlessness can only be assumed directly BEHIND the tree. Where the light comes from, there seems to be a way through the forest.
The twigs and the dark forest - as a contrast to the light of the sun, make your artwork as that what it is. The editing is very good, really. I think this picture shows that you are a talented artist and you see details.
