the sweet balance of vinylby `ssilence

Photography / Conceptual

This is a photo from my gramophone. I love the crackle, the resonant Sound, the flair of the old voices. Real music are full with love and everyone who know it should see this small message in this photo. I have got a record from the '30s, an old german song, and I love it!

This is dedicated to all who love the soul of music...

wow, this is so beautiful! I love the composition and your use of space is really well done. The overall focus is also well done, I feel like it's not as well focused but the grainy look it's giving off actually really works with the photograph. It complements the crackle and grain heard on an old vinyl. Another thing I really appreciate are the volume of light versus dark in this piece. It works wonderfully with the overall picture and gives the needle a bit more character and personality. I really love this piece! You did a fantastic job on this!

I love it. I used to have an old record player but then it broke an it had to be thrown out. I miss that record player. The record player really gave the presence of the music, as the needle would vibrate and the record would spin around. An almost ballet per say.

I always get mesmerized by such retro pictures. I miss so much my vinils that I feel almost 'homesick' whenever I see one. Especially in a such great frame like it is this shot of yours oO
